Here is one you simply don't run across anymore. This 2001 Chevrolet S-10 Extended Cab has traveled an unbelievable 59 actual miles since new. Yes, 59 miles. We recently purchased this truck from a woman in Minnesota whose brother purchased it brand new from Dondelinger Chevrolet in Bemidji, Minnesota. Unfortunately, he was never able to drive the truck, and it eventually passed to his sister, keeping it within the same family its entire life. It was stored outside under a carport rather than in a climate-controlled collection, and what remains today is an incredibly original 25-year-old S-10 that was essentially never used. Finished in beautiful Forest Green Metallic over Graphite cloth, this is a rear-wheel-drive Extended Cab with Chevrolet's third door, the Vortec 2200 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine, 4-speed electronic automatic transmission with overdrive and a 4.10 rear axle. According to the original window sticker, it was ordered with Chevrolet's $1,412 Survival Pak, which included air conditioning, aluminum wheels, AM/FM stereo with CD player and auxiliary floor mats. Additional equipment includes tilt steering, cruise control, deep-tinted glass and the cold-climate package. The condition is remarkable when you consider both its age and storage history. The Forest Green Metallic paint still shows beautifully with excellent depth and shine, the body is straight, and the original aluminum wheels remain exceptionally nice. The pickup bed may tell the story better than anything—it appears to have essentially never been used. There are a handful of minor cosmetic imperfections from 25 years of storage, including a few small scratches and chips that we have photographed closely. We would much rather show them than try to hide them. This is an extraordinarily preserved original truck, not a restored truck, and we believe those minor signs of age are part of its story. The Graphite cloth interior is just as impressive. With only 59 miles, there is virtually no wear to the seats, steering wheel, carpeting, controls or switchgear. The factory radio remains in place, the air conditioning blows ice cold, and even the smallest details have the appearance you would expect from a vehicle that was never put into normal service. The engine compartment is equally original and untouched in appearance, and we intentionally chose not to over-detail or cosmetically restore it. Underneath, the truck remains extremely solid and original. Because it spent its life in Minnesota stored beneath a carport rather than inside a climate-controlled building, there is normal age-related surface oxidation on portions of the rear axle, exhaust and chassis hardware. However, the floors, frame and structural areas are remarkably clean and solid, and we have included detailed undercarriage photographs so there are no surprises. Nothing has been painted or dressed up underneath to make it appear better than it is. The tires were replaced in 2021. After arriving here at Mashburn Motors, we simply washed the truck, changed the engine oil and checked it over. It starts right up, drives down the road beautifully and the air conditioning blows ice cold. Perhaps equally impressive is what stayed with the truck for all these years. Included are the original window sticker, owner's manuals and portfolio, original keys, original floor mats, temporary registration paperwork and additional documentation from when the truck was new. Even the original Dondelinger Chevrolet dealer hat is still with it and appears never to have been worn. The original Dondelinger Chevrolet selling-dealer decal remains on the rear window as another great piece of its history. Anyone can restore an old S-10. Finding one that was simply never used in the first place is something entirely different. At 59 actual miles, with one-family ownership, remarkable originality and the documentation to accompany it, this isn't just another low-mileage S-10.
