Vehicle Description
Every once in a while, we come across a vehicle where the photographs almost make the description unnecessary. This is one of those trucks. This spectacular 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor SuperCrew 4x4 has traveled just 4,462 original miles since new. It is a one-owner, completely original, exceptionally preserved example with a clean, accident-free CARFAX and comes to us from a private 17-vehicle collection. Finished in beautiful Magnetic Metallic over Black leather, this Raptor was ordered exactly the way you would want one today. Its original window sticker shows a remarkable $68,130 MSRP, with the highly desirable Equipment Group 802A Luxury Package and an extensive list of additional factory options. The second-generation Raptor was completely redesigned for 2017 and represented a major leap forward from its predecessor. Under the hood is Ford's High-Output 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 producing 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, paired with the 10-speed automatic transmission and Raptor's sophisticated four-wheel-drive system. Massive FOX Racing shocks, long-travel suspension and BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires helped create a truck capable of performance that simply didn't exist in a conventional production pickup. This particular example, however, appears to have spent its life being preserved rather than tested to those limits. The condition is absolutely exceptional. The Magnetic Metallic paint retains tremendous depth and shine, the body is beautiful and straight, and the grille, bumpers, wheel flares, exterior trim and factory graphics remain remarkably fresh. The original forged aluminum wheels are excellent and are still wrapped in the original BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires installed when the truck was new. Open the door and the 4,462 miles become even easier to believe. The Black leather Raptor interior remains outstanding. The driver's seat bolster, steering wheel, red center marker, paddle shifters, console, carpeting, switchgear and controls show virtually none of the wear normally found in a nine-year-old pickup. Even the instrument display provides another glimpse into how little this truck has actually been used: at the time photographed, it showed only 174 total engine hours, including just 55 idle hours. And this Raptor was loaded. In addition to the 802A Luxury Equipment Group, the original $68,130 window sticker documents equipment including the Twin Panel Moonroof, Raptor Technology Package, 360-degree camera system, navigation, SYNC 3, Sony premium audio, heated steering wheel, blind-spot monitoring, LED lighting, remote start, 4.10 Torsen front differential, forged aluminum wheels, spray-in bedliner, tailgate step, stowable loading ramps and bed divider, among its extensive factory equipment. Even those easily separated accessories remain with the truck. The factory loading ramps and bed-divider system are still present, and the bed itself shows the kind of minimal use expected from a pickup with fewer than 4,500 miles. The engine compartment is equally impressive and retains its completely stock appearance. There are no aftermarket intakes, tuners, suspension modifications, wheels or other changes attempting to improve upon what Ford's engineers created. The underside may tell the story better than anything else. It has not been cosmetically restored, painted or coated for presentation. The frame, suspension, aluminum exhaust components, hardware and original FOX shocks remain remarkably preserved. What little dirt is visible is simply that—dirt. A careful hand washing would reveal an undercarriage that remains extraordinarily close to new and provides another strong indication of just how gently this Raptor has lived. That originality matters. Many Raptors were purchased specifically to be used hard. Others were quickly modified with lifts, wheels, oversized tires, exhaust systems, tuners and aftermarket accessories. Finding one today is easy. Finding a one-owner, accident-free, essentially untouched 2017 Raptor with only 4,462 original miles is something entirely different. The 2017 model year is significant as the introduction of the second-generation Raptor—a truck that combined 450 horsepower, sophisticated four-wheel drive, FOX long-travel suspension and extraordinary off-road capability with the comfort and technology of a genuinely luxurious pickup. This particular example represents that first-year Raptor almost exactly as Ford delivered it. And unlike a restored vehicle, this truck doesn't need someone to recreate what it looked and felt like when it was new. It simply hasn't had enough use to lose it. One owner. 4,462 original miles. Accident-free CARFAX. Original paint and interior. Original wheels. Original BFGoodrich tires. Completely stock. Loaded 802A Luxury equipment. Original $68,130 window sticker. Exceptional top-to-bottom preservation. For the Raptor enthusiast or Ford collector looking for an outstanding example of the first year of the second-generation Raptor, this is the kind of truck that becomes increasingly difficult to duplicate with each passing year. It hasn't been restored to look like a 4,462-mile Raptor. It is a 4,462-mile Raptor. For more info contact Kevin at Mashburn Motors
