Every once in a while we find a vehicle that takes you right back in time, and this beautiful 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Primetime high-top conversion van is one of them. We purchased this incredible van from its original owner in Pennsylvania, and with only 31,000 original miles, its condition truly has to be seen to be appreciated. Finished in beautiful Light Arctic Gray with its original Primetime conversion graphics and blue accent striping, this van has been exceptionally well preserved. The paint has a beautiful shine, the body is straight, the chrome wheels and brightwork look outstanding, and the high-top, running boards and exterior conversion pieces have survived remarkably well. Finding a nearly 30-year-old conversion van that hasn't been used up, rusted away or completely worn out is difficult enough — finding a one-owner example with only 31,000 miles in this condition is something entirely different. Inside may be even more impressive. The gorgeous blue velour conversion interior is simply outstanding, with exceptionally clean carpeting, beautiful captain's chairs, woodgrain accents and a rear power sofa that converts into a bed. It still retains its wonderfully period-correct Audiovox television and video system, giving the interior the unmistakable look and feel of a top-of-the-line late-'90s conversion van. The upholstery, headliner, trim and interior appointments show the kind of preservation we almost never see anymore. Power comes from Dodge's tried-and-true 5.2-liter 318 Magnum V8 backed by an automatic transmission. The engine compartment presents beautifully and honestly, and this van has clearly benefited from its incredibly light use and careful ownership. Just as impressive is everything that stayed with it. We have the owner's manuals, original Primetime/conversion literature, Audiovox television and video-system manuals, keys and remotes — the kinds of details that make a special low-mileage survivor even more complete. These full-size conversion vans were everywhere in the 1990s, but finding a truly exceptional original example today is becoming increasingly difficult. Most were driven hard, used for family vacations, exposed to winters and eventually worn out. This one escaped that fate. With one owner, only 31,000 original miles, the desirable 318 V8 and an incredibly well-preserved Primetime conversion, this is one of those vehicles that photographs beautifully but is even more impressive when you're standing beside it.
