Vehicle Description
There are nice Town Cars, there are low-mileage Town Cars, and then there are exceptionally preserved examples like this. This beautiful 2010 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited has traveled just 6,600 original miles and was one-family owned prior to our purchase. We acquired the Lincoln out of California and had it transported to us, and from the moment you begin looking closely at this car, its remarkable mileage and history become readily apparent. Finished in elegant Light French Silk Metallic over a Medium Light Camel and Light Camel leather interior, it is a wonderfully traditional color combination for one of America's last full-size luxury sedans. This Town Car is also equipped with the desirable factory Continental Edition Package, a $1,055 option documented on its original window sticker. The Continental package adds distinctive exterior badging and special appearance appointments, including its beautiful chrome-finished wheels. The original window sticker accompanies the car and shows a $46,925 base price and a total delivered MSRP of $49,790. It also retains its original books and documentation along with multiple keys and remotes. The condition of this Lincoln is truly remarkable. The beautiful light-colored leather interior shows extraordinarily little use, while the carpeting, woodgrain trim, dashboard, controls, door panels and rear passenger compartment all reflect the care and extremely limited mileage this car has received. Even areas that normally reveal the true age and use of an automobile present exceptionally well. This isn't a high-mileage Town Car that has simply been cleaned and detailed to look good—it has the appearance and preservation you would expect from a genuine 6,600-mile automobile. Under the hood, the story continues. The engine compartment remains extremely original and beautifully preserved, with factory finishes, markings, plastics and hardware still displaying the kind of condition that is increasingly difficult to find on any automobile from this era. The underside, however, may be one of the most impressive aspects of the entire car. Its 6,600 original miles and California history are immediately apparent underneath, where the chassis remains in extraordinary, near-new original condition. The floors, drivetrain, suspension components, lines, hardware and surrounding areas display a level of preservation seldom encountered on a 2010 automobile. This is not a restored, refinished or cosmetically dressed-up undercarriage—it is simply an exceptionally preserved original car. We encourage serious buyers to study the underside photographs closely because they may tell the story of this Lincoln's life better than anything we could write. Perhaps another remarkable indication of just how little this Town Car has been used is that it is still riding on its original tires and drives amazing with them. Their presence is an interesting part of the car's originality and preservation; however, because of their age, replacement would be recommended before putting the car into regular road use. We also believe in accurately representing our automobiles, and this Lincoln is not being advertised as absolutely flawless. There are some scratches and previous touch-up on the driver's rear door and forward portion of the left rear quarter panel, which we have deliberately photographed and disclosed. In person they are considerably less noticeable during a casual walk-around than the close-up photographs make them appear. Rather than repainting part of an otherwise remarkably original 6,600-mile automobile simply to achieve cosmetic perfection, we elected to leave the car as we received it. The Carfax is clean with no reported accidents. The Lincoln Town Car represents an era of American automobiles that simply no longer exists: traditional body-on-frame construction, rear-wheel drive, V8 power, six-passenger capability, and a driving experience built around quietness, comfort and effortless highway travel. With Town Car production nearing its end by 2010, exceptionally preserved late-production examples have become increasingly difficult to duplicate. This isn't simply another used Lincoln Town Car. It is a 6,600-original-mile, one-family-owned, California-preserved Continental Edition with its original window sticker, books, documentation, keys and an extraordinary degree of originality from the passenger compartment to the underside of the car. If you're looking for an inexpensive everyday Town Car, there are plenty of those available. If you're looking for one of the special ones—an example that has survived 16 years in remarkably original, exceptionally preserved condition—this is the kind of Town Car you wait to find.
